We are a not-for-profit organization working for the thousands of impoverished children in Pakistan who suffer physically from a congenital deformity or injury and do not have access to basic medical care let alone the re-constructive plastic surgery they need to lead normal productive lives.
Working in partnership with volunteers and overseas organizations, HASWA began in 2001 by providing free reconstructive surgery to people, specially children. Born with congenital deformities such as cleft lips or palates, they are often denied normal education because of their appearance and speech impediments.
Similarly, burn-related accident victims endure a lifetime of suffering and disability. Working with House of Charity, and a leading Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, HASWA helped hundreds of traumatized and badly contracted burned victims.
Another arm of HASWA deals with artificial limbs giving under-privileged people freedom to become independent again. The limb, designed in collaboration with Jaipur Foot Team India gives, the user the once lost mobility and ease. This service is also done completely free of cost.
Today, HASWA has taken another step toward reaching its goal to complete more lives. A Prosthesis Centre and Workshop has been set up where not only the limbs will be manufactured, but treatment training facility to amputees will be made available.
